  • Guest communication: To contact you regarding the details of your stay, arrival instructions (check-in), and assistance.
  • Compliance with legal obligations: To process the mandatory registration of travelers and communicate your identity data to the Security Forces (Police/Civil Guard), in accordance with current public safety regulations.

3. LEGAL BASIS: The legal basis for processing your data is the performance of the accommodation or booking contract to which you are a party, as well as compliance with the legal obligations applicable to the tourist rental sector (such as citizen security and tax laws).

4. DATA RETENTION PERIOD: Personal data will be retained for the time strictly necessary to fulfill the purpose for which it was collected and, in any case, for the periods required by applicable tax and public safety legislation (a minimum of 3 years for traveler record books, according to Spanish law).

5. DATA RECIPIENTS AND INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS: Your data will not be transferred to third parties for commercial purposes. It will only be disclosed to:

  • Public Authorities: Law Enforcement Agencies (Police/Civil Guard), in compliance with legal regulations regarding traveler registration.
  • Service Providers (Data Processors): Essential technological tools for the operation of the booking process (such as the Smoobu booking engine and secure payment gateways like Stripe).
  • International Transfers: Some of these providers (like Stripe) may process data outside the European Economic Area (EEA). Such transfers are carried out under secure mechanisms, including the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission.
